Fabulous 4* review from Romantic Times:

Burrows is a master at Regency romance. Her novels are always full of brooding heroes and feisty heroines, and this is no exception. Readers will be drawn in by the authentic setting, enigmatic characters and the numerous misadventures the couple has on the way to true love.

Gregory, Duke of Halstead, is not a defiler of innocents, even if he did wake up next to a naked stranger. Realizing the girl is a total innocent, he is determined to help her, but things are not easy when you are a duke traveling incognito. Prudence is shocked at the scandalous circumstances she finds herself in and reluctantly accepts help from the stranger in her bed. And so their misadventures begin, for the pair are set upon by thieves, chased by angry farmers and forced to walk cross-country toward home.

Gregory soon realizes that the courageous and outspoken Prudence sees the man and not the title. Now, he just has to make sure she does not run off once she realizes he has not been totally truthful. (HARLEQUIN, May, 288 pp., $6.50)
